Sporty Spice names daughter Scarlet Starr

Mel C and Thomas Starr are excited about the new arrival

Mel C has become a mum for the first time.

Sporty Spice, 35, and her partner Thomas Starr welcomed baby Scarlet Starr yesterday afternoon.

The little one weighed in at 8lb 3oz.

‘Melanie C gave birth to a beautiful little girl at 4.10pm on Sunday 22nd February,’ reads a statement on her official website.

‘Both mum and baby are doing well.'

Mel, who has been with Thomas for six years, is the last of the Spice Girls to become a mum.
