Prime Minister moved by Big Brother star’s ordeal

PM Gordon Brown has offered his support to Jade Goody

Gordon Brown has paid tribute to terminally-ill Jade Goody.

The Prime Minister, 57, has praised the Big Brother star for putting a brave face on her ordeal for the sake of sons Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4.

‘I wish her well,’ he says. ‘Her determination to help her family is something we’ve got to applaud. It’s tragic someone so young has this deadly disease.

‘The whole country will be worried and anxious about her health.’

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty, 33, has opened up about the emotional phone call she had with Jade, 27, earlier this week.  

‘When we spoke she sounded strong and invited me to her wedding,’ she tells the Daily Mirror. ‘After our chit-chat, she casually invited me for her funeral. It's heart-wrenching.’

Jade, who has been given just weeks to live, will marry Jack Tweed, 21, on Sunday.
