Officers take no action against Charlotte Churchs boyfriend
Wednesday, 18 February 2009
Charlotte Church's partner Gavin Henson was questioned by cops during a night out in Cardiff on Sunday.
The rugby hunk was celebrating Wales’ win over England in the Six Nations with 3 of his teammates.
The boys are alleged to have got a little rowdy and fellow revellers complained about their behaviour.
‘Officers were called to St Mary Street, Cardiff, at around 9.15pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance,’ says a statement from South Wales Police.
After a chat, Gavin, 27, was allowed to go.
The Welsh Rugby Union have now launched an investigation.
‘We will immediately look into these claims after being alerted to them,’ a spokesman tells the Daily Telegraph. ‘We have no further comment to make at this stage.’
Gavin's club Neath-Swansea Ospreys also hope to get to the truth of the matter: ‘We are aware of what has allegedly happened. We will be pursuing the matter with the Welsh Rugby Union and the players.’
Gavin and Charlotte, 22, are parents to 1-month-old Dexter and daughter Ruby, 16 months.
