Shilpa Shetty calls Jade Goody and lifts her spirits

Pair have heart-to-heart over the phone

Shilpa Shetty has made up with Jade Goody

Shilpa Shetty has been keeping in touch with former Celebrity Big Brother rival Jade Goody as she battles cervical cancer.

The mum-of-two, who has been told her illness is terminal, is to wed Jack Tweed, 21, on Sunday.

Shilpa rang Jade, 27, at her hospital bedside on Monday night to offer her support.

‘She called the Royal Marsden to tell her she was sorry she can’t be at the ceremony as she is filming in India,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘But she wished her all the best for the big day and promised to come and visit as soon as she is back in the UK in about 3 weeks.

‘It was a really warm, friendly chat. Shilpa wanted her to know she was thinking of her and it really lifted her spirits.’

Jade was accused of bullying Shilpa, 33, on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007 - but they have now on good terms.

Meanwhile, celeb chef Jean Christophe Novelli, 47, has agreed to cater for her wedding.

‘She’s known him for years and loves his food,’ confirms rep Max Clifford.
