Singer fought thieves but they got away

Gabriella Cilmi had a hit with single Sweet About Me

Gabriella Cilmi was targeted by a thief last week.

The Sweet About Me singer, 17, did her best to fight off the mugger but he got away with her mobile.

‘I was mugged in London,’ she tells the News Of The World.

‘I was sitting at a café in a book shop when someone just pinched my phone. There was a bit of a scrap but they managed to run off. I was really annoyed.’
