Roxanne Pallet dislocates rib on Dancing On Ice

Actress still competes in ITV show

Roxanne Pallet is a Children's Champions judge

Roxanne Pallet was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after dislocating her rib.

The Emmerdale actress, 25, was rehearsing for ITV show Dancing On Ice with professional partner Daniel Whiston when she fell over.

She had been due to judgeChildren’s Champions - an event that honours those who work above and beyond the call of duty for youngsters - the following day, but was forced to text in her choices from her hospital bed.

‘I was so disappointed I couldn’t join the judging in person,’ she tells the News Of The World. ‘I’d studied the shortlisted nominations and they were inspirational.’

Despite the set-back, Roxanne managed to perform in last night's show and has vowed to be at the Children's Champions awards ceremeony on 4 March, where winners will meet Gordon Brown.

Meanwhile, two other Dancing On Ice stars have been injured.

Former Liberty X star Jessica Taylor suffered bruised ribs during training and Zoe Salmon received treatment for painful muscle spasms.
