Musican's real dad says his son wants to make sure Rihanna is okay

Chris Brown is reflecting on 'the situation' says his father

Chris Brown's dad Clinton says that his son is 'very remorseful' over the incident with Rihanna before the Grammys last week but 'there are two sides to every story'.

'He's reflecting,' the 44-year-old explains. 'He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna's] okay.

'This is unfortunate, this stumble, this situation. Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip.'

Chris, 19, is under police investigation in LA
for allegedly beating Rihanna, 20, last Sunday morning.

Clinton Brown is the star's biological dad. Chris grew up with a stepfather with whom he had a troubled relationship.

'He's home. He needed some time to get his thoughts together and regroup,' Clinton - who insists Chris is 'a lovable young man' - tells People.com.

'He will continue to be a good person. He loves people. And like most of us, most humans, things will occur. And hopefully a person won't be judged simply on that alone.'

'He's going to take from this situation and learn from it.'
