Rep says mum and baby are doing well

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd and girlfriend Lauren Shippey have had a baby girl.

The couple, who have been dating for 6 years, welcomed their first child into the world at 8.30am this morning.

A spokeswoman for the soap said the baby had not been named but mum and baby are doing well, reports The Sun.

Yesterday the stars of the ITV programme heard the sad news that actress Kym Marsh, who was 4 months pregnant, had lost her baby son.
