The X Factor winner gets into the swing of A-list shopping and dining

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke is loving going shopping

Alexandra Burke isn’t wasting any time getting into the pop star lifestyle! The X Factor winner has been shopping up a storm and looking glam on the swankiest streets in London.

Braving the chill last week in a bang-on-trend bright pink cardigan and flared jeans, the singer’s beaming smile said it all as she enjoyed a spot of shopping in high-end Bond Street.

Sporting her brand-new arm candy – a look-at-me £630 Dolce & Gabbana Waikiki Lily handbag – Alex, 20, looked every inch the pop star as she browsed designer boutiques with her manager Sarah.

It wasn’t her first expensive stop-off for the week, either. The evening before, the Hallelujah singer treated her older sister Sheniece, 23, to dinner at celebrity haunt Mr Chow’s in illustrious Knightsbridge. This time Alex opted for a more sombre, but just as stylish, black ensemble for the occasion.

It’s a step up for the siblings, who until recently shared a single bed at the family’s cramped north London council flat, and both girls appear to be relishing their change in fortune.

Enjoying the perks of her new life, Alex seems to be looking on the bright side despite a recent spate of family woes.

Last month her ill mother Melissa Bell, 44, was forced to deny claims that she’s been paid money for singing at gigs while still receiving disability and income support benefit payments.

Meanwhile, Alex’s half brother Travoir Burke is currently being investigated by immigration officials over allegations that he’s working illegally in Britain.

But Alex has plenty to distract her from her relatives’ dramas. With the X Factor live tour kicking off next week, the singer’s schedule is packed with rehearsals, dress fittings and media commitments. And looking at the glowing and happy Alex in these pictures, it’s hard to believe that she has a care in the world.
