Reese Witherspoon admits she often leaves her kids red-faced.
Her daughter Ava, 9, had to politely ask her to keep her mouth shut at a gig to spare her blushes.
‘She said, “Mum, I really appreciate you taking me to the concert, but will you please not embarrass me in front of Carrie Underwood by singing because she's a real singer and you're just, like a movie singer,”’ says Reese.
‘I love to sing around the house and in the car. But my daughter hates it.’
Reese, who also has son Deacon, 5, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, 34, admits the children keep her grounded.
‘Realising you're not anything special to the kids is always a great sort of reminder that you're just a regular person,’ she tells Parents magazine. ‘A regular embarrassing old mum.'
