Jade Goody: I’m relieved I don’t need a poo bag

Reality TV star remains positive about cancer fight

Jade Goody was told she had cervical cancer while on Indian Big Brother in 2008

Jade Goody is thankful she won’t need a colostomy bag following her bowel operation.

The reality TV star underwent life-saving surgery on Friday after doctors found a tumour the size of a golf ball.

‘The operation lasted nearly two hours and thankfully it was a success,’ she writes in her new! diary.

‘I had tubes going up my nose and into my neck pumping in pain relief to my body.

'I’m just relieved that I won’t need a colostomy bag. It’s one thing losing my hair, but I think a poo bag would have been too much.’

Jade, 27, was diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer.

She is due to start a two-month course of Hycamtin, a drug normally used in the advanced stages of the disease.
