Stephen K Amos: Prince Harry said I didn’t sound black

Stephen K Amos has appeared on the Royal Variety Performance

Stephen K Amos has revealed Prince Harry once told him he didn’t sound like a black man.

The comedian told Channel 5 show The Wright Stuff that he met the royal after a stand-up show.  

After complimenting him on his set, Harry apparently said: 'You don't sound like a black man, do you?'

But Stephen put the 24-year-old’s gaffe down to a bad attempt at making banter.

Harry was involved in a race row last month when it emerged he referred to an army officer as a ‘our little paki friend’.
