Usher's wife Tameka Foster stable after surgery complications

Singer rushes to be at his wife's bedside in Brazil

Usher and Tameka Foster wed last year

Usher was forced to cancel an appearance at a pre Grammy gala when his wife Tameka Foster was taken ill on Sunday.

The former stylist, 37, was undergoing ‘routine surgery’ at a hospital in Brazil when she suffered complications.

But a rep insists she’s now in a ‘stable’ condition.

‘Her husband, Usher, is with her at the hospital,’ the spokesperson tells Us Weekly.

‘No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time.’

Usher, 33, and Tameka wed in August 2007 and have two-month-old Naveid Ely Raymond and Usher Raymond V, 15 months.

She also has three sons from a previous relationship.
