John Caddock is the father of Jade Goody's mum Jackiey Budden

Jade Goody has not abandoned her hopes of beating cancer, says her grandfather.

John Caddock, 70, has vowed to support the Big Brother star through her ordeal.

‘Jade’s a battler,’ he tells The Sun. ‘She’s so brave and she’ll keep fighting until there is no fighting left to do.

‘The news that the cancer has spread has hit us all very hard. It’s going to be a tough time for us all, but we all love her with all of our hearts.’

John and wife Sylvia, 76, plan to visit Jade at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital within the next week.

The 27-year-old was told by doctors on Tuesday that her cervical cancer had spread to her bowel, groin and liver.

Jade, who was diagnosed with the disease in August, is now being started on a course of the drug Hycamtin.
