Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo has invested in boutiques for his sister

Cristiano Ronaldo plans to put £8million into a hotel resort in Portugal.

The Manchester United star, 23, already owns a string of properties, including a £4million pad in Cheshire.

And now he intends to splash out on the hotel on Porto Santo, an island near his native Madeira.

‘It’s all very well buying cars and gadgets but a property portfolio could yield huge returns in the future,' a source tells The Sun.

'A few years ago he was a teenager living in digs. Now he has the world at his feet.’

He is also set to build a £6.1million home in Portugal.
