Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi has launched legal action against the singer and her parents.
He accuses them of libel, defamation, breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
‘Jamie and Lynne Spears launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney's life,’ read papers filed in LA on Tuesday.
‘This campaign also provided Jamie with the opportunity he needed to obtain an appointment as Britney's conservator.
‘Despite seemingly accomplishing their objectives, Jamie and Lynne have nevertheless continued their smear campaign against Lutfi.’
The 34-year-old is suing Lynne, 53, over comments in her book Through The Storm, and claims Jamie punched him in the chest.
The lawsuit comes just days after Britney, 27, was granted a restraining order against Sam.
Brit and her parents have so far made no comment.
