Sir Elton John launches crystal-encrusted iPod

Product will raise cash for his AIDS charity

Sir Elton John has jazzed up the iPod with 250 Swarovski crystals

Sir Elton John has brought out a new iPod nano.

The limited edition Starburst model, priced at £400, has over 250 Swarovski crystals.

It comes in nine colours and comes pre-loaded with all of Sir Elton’s greatest hits.

It also features a laser etching of the singer’s signature on the back. 

A share of all profits will go to the 61-year-old’s AIDS charity.

‘Elton does not usually put his name to a product but this is exactly the kind of thing he loves,’ his spokesperson tells The Sun.

‘It's extravagant and glamorous just like him. And, as everyone knows, his AIDS charity is very close to his heart.’

The Starburst iPods are available from the Gold Genie website and at Selfridges.
