Thieves break in at 4am while she's in the Caribbean
Friday, 30 January 2009
Amy Winehouse’s north London flat was ransacked yesterday as she holidayed in St Lucia.
Thieves took £15,000 worth of valuables, including a flat screen TV, five guitars and recording gear.
Amy, 25, is due to fly home this weekend to start work on her third album.
'She is devastated,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘Some of the guitars are irreplaceable due to their sentimental value.
'The flat is in a real state. It had been cleaned up in preparation for her return.
'Now she will have to start from scratch to replace what has been stolen.’
Police carried out forensic tests and are continuing their enquiries.
‘No arrests have been made,’ says a police spokesman.
