Michael Jackson being sued for £700,000 by Thriller director

John Landis wants royalties for 1980s video

Michael Jackson sold his sprawling Neverland ranch last year

The director of Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller video is suing the singer for £700,000.

John Landis claims the 50-year-old has failed to pay him royalties for the 14-minute pop promo for the past four years.

The lawsuit comes as news broke that Thriller is to be made into a Broadway musical.

John, who directed movies including An American Werewolf in London and The Blues Brothers, filed the papers at Los Angeles Superior Court.
