Peaches Geldof: I've never been a crackhead

Socialite denies she ever had a serious drug problem

Peaches Geldof now lives in New York

Peaches Geldof insists only about 10 per cent of what she reads about herself in the press is true.

'I'm not this drug-addicted, shoplifting, bisexual, husband-cheating-on diva,' she says.

Peaches, 19, married rocker Max Drummey, 23, last August after meeting him on MySpace. But they're no Amy and Blake.

'I'm not Amy Winehouse. I never have been,' she tells Observer Woman.

'I've taken drugs, Yes, I have had experiences, and a few of them unsavoury, not ones I want to repeat, but I wasn't a crackhead.

'I wanted the experience. It made me feel sick. I wasn't hugely into drugs, and I'm sober now.'

Peaches' mother Paula Yates died of an accidental heroin overdoes in 2000 and she hates people suggesting she'll end up the same way.

'It's bewildering,' she says, 'it's not fair on my family and it's not fair on my sisters.'
