Alleged extortionists wanted millions of dollars

John Travolta has been targeted in a suspected blackmail attempt just weeks after his 16-year-old son died in the Bahamas.
Police there are questioning two people over the alleged extortion plot.
John, 54, and his wife Kelly Preston are said to have been asked for a substantial amount of cash.
‘In a time of such terrible grief, there are often a few who attempt to make false claims in hopes of making millions,’ John's lawyer says in a statement.
‘We will never let this happen. We have the utmost confidence in the Bahamian police and government as they investigate the case.'
