They feel bad for not noticing he was in trouble
Thursday, 22 January 2009
Take That admit they feel guilty for not realising how deeply unhappy Robbie Williams was before he left the band in 1995.
Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald wish they'd been more supportive.
'That's my one regret. I missed the signs,' Gary, 37, tells The Sun. 'I think we all did.'
Robbie, 34, battled alcohol and drug addiction before recovering in rehab.
'I spoke to Robbie last summer,' says Howard, 40 'I said I was sorry I never took the time to notice he was drinking a bottle of vodka a day.'
Mark, 36, adds: 'I feel a bit guilty that I wasn't mature enough to hear his cries.'
