Celebrity chef says Sarah Symonds 'set the whole thing up'

Gordon Ramsay is now filming in America

Fiery Gordon Ramsay has spoken out about the allegations of an affair that rocked his marriage in November.

‘It never happened. It was completely made up,’ says the 42-year-old star, who’s currently in the US filming his hit shows Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

Gordon, who until now had stayed silent on the subject, spoke out as Sarah Symonds, the 38-year-old woman at the centre of the scandal, arrived in the US to appear on a string of TV chat shows.

‘She set the whole thing up to make some money,’ he went on. ‘I heard how she told her friends to “watch out” for a big story concerning her – and the big story was her claims that we had an affair. Not true! Not true for a minute!’

Sarah, a so-called ‘professional mistress’, wrote a book for women on how to have affairs with married men following a highly publicised relationship with Jeffrey Archer.

She’s now due to appear on Tyra Banks’ chat show to talk about her claims of a 7-year affair with the chef.

Gordon’s wife Tana, 34, has stood by him throughout the scandal. She’s now flown out to join him in LA.
