Michelle Ryan is apparently in talks with BBC bosses to play Doctor Who's new assistant.
The former EastEnders actress, 24, could star opposite new Time Lord Matt Smith.
‘She is perfect for the role,’ a source tells the Sunday Mirror.
'Not only is she the right age to star alongside Matt, she is goodlooking and has been pretty much out of the limelight having been in America for a few years.
‘Those involved in the show agree Matt and Michelle look great together - they reckon fans will believe they're the perfect team too.’
Matt, 21, takes over from David Tennant, 37, at the end of the year.
