Scarlett Johansson: I wasn’t surprised when Ryan Reynolds proposed

But actress did squeal with delight

Scarlett Johansson wasn't shocked when Ryan Reynolds got down on one knee.

The actress, who married the hunk in September 2008, says she was expecting it.

‘I wasn’t surprised,’ she tells Harper’s Bazaar. ‘You say you can’t believe it, but of course you really can.

'Anyone being presented with a diamond ring, you just squeal with delight.’

But Scarlett, 24, and Ryan, 32, aren’t in a hurry to start a family.

‘I’m not pregnant, nor will I be any time soon,’ she adds.

Her new movie He's Just Not That Into You is released on 6 February.
