Agyness Deyn tipped for Doctor Who role

Model up against Lily Allen and Kelly Brook

Agyness Deyn worked in a chippy

Agyness Deyn could star in Doctor Who when it returns in 2010.

The model, real name Laura Hollins, is said to have been approached about playing his female sidekick.

It's thought Agyness, 25, who has acted before, could attract a new audience to the hit BBC show.

‘Someone terribly exciting like Billie Piper, who was at the beginning of her acting career but who had a profile for other reasons, would be great,’ executive producer Piers Wenger tells the Telegraph.

‘We are looking for someone whose light can burn brightly.’

Lily Allen, 23, Kelly Brook and Rachel Stevens may also be in the running.

Last week, it was revealed Matt Smith, 26, will take over from David Tennant, 37, as the new Time Lord.
