Back To Black singer accepts £225 fine
Wednesday, 7 January 2009
Amy Winehouse has dropped her appeal against a fine for drug possession in Norway.
The singer and husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, were arrested in Bergen in October 2007 for having seven grams of cannabis.
They later appealed the fine, saying Norwegian police made mistakes in the case.
But now Amy, 25, has accepted a £225 fine and won't stand trial on 12 January.
Police Prosecutor Rudolf Christoffersen confirmed the couple had withdrawn their appeals.
