TV star has to put her health first
Wednesday, 7 January 2009
Jade Goody has had to pull out of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs.
The reality TV star, 27, was playing The Wicked Witch at Lincoln's Theatre Royal, despite battling cervical cancer.
But she came down with a heavy cold on Christmas Eve and was rushed to hospital with a kidney blockage at New Year.
‘I won’t be able to return to my role in panto and I’m gutted because I really hate letting people down,’ she says.
‘I gave it my best shot but I have to be careful not to get too ill because my immune system is so low with having intensive chemotherapy.
'My health has to come first and I can’t push my body like I used to.’

Like you Jade I'm a single mum of two boys, last year I went through a relationship breakdown with long term partner which broke my heart. After watching your tv programme it made me realise my problems are nothing compared to what you are going through, you are such an inspiration. I looked around me and realised that I have two wonderful sons, a home, a job, my health and lots of friends, family and support around me. I wish you loads of luck in your battle to be fit and healthy and enjoy your boys as much as you can. Jan
