Jade Goody: My cancer cells are shrinking

Doctors give reality star some good news

Jade Goody has been told she has a 50% chance of survival

Jade Goody is winning her battle against cervical cancer.

Doctors have told the reality TV star, who was diagnosed with the disease last summer, that her chemotherapy sessions are having an impact.

‘I do have good news,’ she says. ‘I was told my cancer cells have shrunk a little, which means the chemo is working. But it’s too soon to say if I have a better chance of survival.’

Jade, 27, who had an operation last week to fix a blocked kidney, insists she's still got a long road ahead of her.

‘Once every month, for the next 12 months, I have to have two types of chemo drugs pumped into me through a tube,’ she writes in her new! diary.

‘It takes 5 hours altogether. It doesn’t hurt, but it makes me feel really sick afterwards.

'I get hungry but everything I eat tastes like metal and I throw it up. I’m sick three times a day and it’s going to get worse.’
