Singer doesnt want laser treatment
Sunday, 11 January 2009
Sir Tom Jones says he's only sporting facial hair to conceal surgery scars on his face.
The singer, who has had several operations to improve his looks, has been left with feint marks on his chin.
‘I had the fat removed from under my chin,’ he tells The Guardian Weekend. ‘That’s basically why I wear the goatee because it covers the scar.
'If I went for laser treatment, I could get rid of it, but I thought, f**k it, I’ll wear a goatee.’
Tom, 68, doesn’t see himself going under the knife again.
‘My nose, that was straightened,’ he admits. ‘Then, with my eyes, they took the heaviness out of the lids. Thank God the plastic surgeon said you’ve got to look like you, you can’t look like someone else.’
