Newlyweds splash out on lavish spa in the Maldives

Amanda Holden and music producer Chris Hughes have a daughter

Amanda Holden and Chris Hughes have flown to the Maldives on honeymoon.

The couple tied the knot on 10 December in front of family and friends, after a four-year engagement.

To celebrate, they jetted off to a £2,000-a-night health spa, complete with butler and a 70ft yacht.

‘It's taken Chris four years to get Amanda down the aisle since he proposed, so they decided to go somewhere extra special,’ an insider tells the Sunday Mirror.

Amanda, 37, and Chris, 33, have two-year-old daughter Alexa, who was bridesmaid at the wedding.

They got together in 2002, shortly after Amanda's first marriage to comedian Les Dennis ended.
