Patricia Arquette files for divorce

Actors part after brief marriage

Patricia Arquette & Thomas Jane were together for seven years

Patricia Arquette has filed for divorce from her husband of more than two years, actor Thomas Jane, Los Angeles court papers filed Monday reveal.

Arquette, 40, cited irreconcilable differences, and is seeking sole legal and physical custody of their daughter Harlow, 5, with visitation for Jane, 39.

The couple were married in May 2006, but the exact date of separation is "to be determined," according to the Superior Court papers. The pair had met through friends around 2001.

Arquette isn't seeking spousal support, and she's requesting the court deny him any.

The star of TV's Medium, whose sister is Rosanna Arquette and brother is David Arquette [husband of Courteney Cox Arquette], also starred in the offbeat movies like True Romance and Lost Highway.

Arquette has a son, Enzo, 19, with musician Paul Rossi.
