Singer could be Time Lord's sidekick in BBC show
Monday, 5 January 2009
Lily Allen could star as Doctor Who’s assistant in the news series.
Bosses are keen for the singer, 23, to audition for the role alongside eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith.
‘Someone terribly exciting like Billie Piper, who was at the beginning of her acting career but who had a profile for other reasons, would be great,’ executive producer Piers Wenger tells the Telegraph.
‘We would never cast anyone on the basis of their celebrity, but if Lily wanted to audition we would be delighted. It would be a lot of fun.’
Kelly Brook and Rachel Stevens are also said to be interested in the part.
