Jonathan Ross: I'm just not great with answering machines

But chat show host says he’s polite in person

Jonathan Ross was suspended from the BBC for three months

Jonathan Ross has made light of the BBC prank call scandal which almost cost him his job.

The chat show host was suspended for three months without pay after leaving lewd messages for Andrew Sachs during Russell Brand’s Radio 2 show in October.  

'I am very polite in person,’ he writes on his Twitter blog. ‘I'm just not great with answering machines.'

Jonathan, 48, who returns to work on 23 January, also jokes about his life being turned into a movie.

'I bet the f***ers would get Timothy Spall to play me,’ he adds.
