Rachel Stevens to 'star in Merlin'

Singer will join Michelle Ryan in second series

Rachel Stevens is engaged to Alex Bourne

Rachel Stevens is said to be in talks to star in the second series of BBC1 show Merlin.

The former S Club 7 singer, 30, who was runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing, is keen to move into acting.

‘The next series of Merlin will be even better than the first,’ an insider tells The Sun.

Rachel attempted to start an acting career in 2005 when she moved to Hollywood; but she failed to land any big parts.

Filming on Merlin, which stars Michelle Ryan, will begin later this year.
