Liverpool captain was in bar where alleged brawl broke out

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard been released on bail after being questioned about an alleged bar brawl in a night club on Monday night.
The 28-year-old footballer, husband of WAG Alex Curran, was celebrating a 5-1 victory over Newcastle when he was arrested - with 2 other men - at Southport's Lounge Inn restaurant and bar at around 2.30am.
'He was charged in the early hours of this morning with assault and affray,' a spokesman for Merseyside Police told AFP.
'The three men will be appearing at North Sefton Magistrates' Court on 23 January.'
If found guilty of assault, Steven could face up to five years in jail. The maximum term for an affray is 3 years.
He and Alex married in June 2007.
