Council rejects retrospective planning application

It is likely Anthea Turner will have to tear down a £500,000 tennis court at her mansion, which was built without permission.
The TV star, 48, and husband Grant Bovey, 47, have a floodlit court and a pavilion at their £5million estate in Surrey.
But planners at Waverley Borough Council rejected a third application for retrospective consent.
‘It’s a lovely facility – but they treated the planning process with contempt,’ counsellor Jim Edwards tells the Daily Mail.
It is thought the couple will appeal against the decision.
