Anthea Turner may have to demolish £500,000 tennis court

Council rejects retrospective planning application

It is likely Anthea Turner will have to tear down a £500,000 tennis court at her mansion, which was built without permission.

The TV star, 48, and husband Grant Bovey, 47, have a floodlit court and a pavilion at their £5million estate in Surrey.

But planners at Waverley Borough Council rejected a third application for retrospective consent.

‘It’s a lovely facility – but they treated the planning process with contempt,’ counsellor Jim Edwards tells the Daily Mail.

It is thought the couple will appeal against the decision.
