Dita Von Teese didn't understand why her pals were crazy about Johnny Depp - until she met him.

‘I never had posters of famous men on my wall,’ she recalls. ‘I had pictures of ballerinas and women I wanted to be like.

'All my friends were in love with Johnny Depp, and I never got it until I met him, and realised he was the most fascinating man on the face of the planet.’

Dita, who split from husband Marilyn Manson in 2006, reckons Johnny's special.

‘Sure he’s dashing,’ she tells Observer Woman, 'but he, and George Clooney, too, have that old-fashioned glamour of a man like Rudolph Valentino.'
