Simon Cowell is thinking of leaving The X Factor in 2010.

The music mogul, 49, has worked on the programme since its launch five years ago.

And Simon, who is also a judge on Britain’s Got Talent and American Idol, needs a break.

‘It looks like I’m only going to be doing it until 2010,’ he says. ‘I’ve really felt it this year.

'When you do three shows a year it’s tiring and something’s got to give.

'I’m contracted to do one more series and then I’ll make a decision. I’ll see how I feel in the New Year.’

Alexandra Burke, 20, was crowned the winner of the talent show on Saturday.
