Martina Navratilova is hoping to make the transition from centre court to centre stage.
The Wimbledon champ has auditioned for a part in West End show Chicago.
Martina, 52, is up for the role of Matron Mama Morton, a corrupt prison warden.
‘I don’t want to be too comfortable,’ she tells the Daily Star. ‘I want challenges.’
If she does get the part the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star would have to sing the musical number You’re Good To Mama.

Good god! not another celebrity buying a ticket to ride on the chicago train. these people have made their money in their chosen fields of expertise and in most cases done well out of it, what about giving those who have chosen to try this very hard carreer, spent years training (in that particular field) spent years working in various jobs to make ends meet while they audition and wait for a job to be offered to them, jobs that are very hard to come by unless you know someone who knows some one else or funnily enough if you just happened to be a celebrity. COME ON the show is a great show but do the producers have that little faith in it that they dont think it will stand the test of time with out putting in these, actors (soap or otherwise) people famous for being Infamous(the worse choice) and now sporsts persons????? I wonder what Mr Fosse would have to say.would be interesting wouldnt it?

1 lucky reader will win a DVD player plus a copy of the DVD. 5 runners-up will get a copy of the DVD!
