Singer is recovering after surgery

Toni Braxton's in good health now

Toni Braxton has revealed she had a secret cancer scare over the summer.

The singer, 41, had a tumour removed from her breast in October.

Doctors discovered the lump during a routine check-up in August.

But Toni delayed having an op because she was appearing on Dancing With The Stars.

‘Getting the boot on the show was actually a blessing in disguise for me,’ she tells Us Weekly.

‘I was worried about what they would find. We have family history.

'My grandmother on my dad's side died of breast cancer, and I have aunts on both sides that have breast cancer. But it was benign.’

Toni is still recovering but remains upbeat.

‘I was very fortunate,’ she adds. ‘Cancer knows no race, no creed, no colour.’
