Louis Walsh: Kerry Katona is involved with the wrong people

X Factor judge hopes for good things for the troubled star

Louis Walsh is a fan of Kerry Katona

Louis Walsh has spoken of his affection for controversial star Kerry Katona.

The X Factor judge got to know the former Atomic Kitten singer while she was married to Brian McFadden, who he managed when he was in Westlife.

‘I like Kerry a lot,’ he says. ‘I read stuff about her all the time, but I know deep down she’s a really nice girl.’

Kerry, 28, caused controversy after slurring her words during an appearance on This Morning last year. She blamed her behaviour on presribed medication but also later admitted to being an alcoholic.

Louis, 56, believes Kerry should take charge of her own life.

‘She’s involved with the wrong people. She is innocent, easily led,’ he tells Celebs On Sunday.

‘I hope she’s going to be OK because I think she’s great.’
