Sunday Night Project host admits teenage obsession

Comic Alan Carr is openly gay

Comedian Alan Carr says people are always surprised to know he liked birds as a teenager.

The Sunday Night Project presenter, 32, used to watch them through binoculars.

'I was a keen bird watcher between the ages of 13 and 16,' he admits.

'I always got binoculars for Christmas and spent all my spare time down at the reservoir watching Canada geese.

'It’s cute, but very sad. If I did it now, people would think I was dogging!'
