Boy George faces jail for imprisoning male escort

Culture Club star will be sentenced in the New Year

Boy George didn't give evidence

Boy George has been found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort at his home in Shoreditch, east London.

Norwegian Audun Carlsen, 29, accused the singer of handcuffing him to his bedroom wall and thrashing him with a metal chain on April 28 last year.

Boy George, 46, says Audun stole photos of himself from his laptop, taken by the Culture Club frontman when the pair had met three months earlier.

A jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court found the star, real name George O’Dowd, guilty of the charges on Friday.

He will be sentenced on 16 January.
