Kanye West: I blame myself for Mum's death

Rapper blames his career for making Donda change her lifestyle

Kanye West is still angry over the death of his mother Donda.

The 58-year-old passed away while recovering from plastic surgery in November 2007.

And Kanye reckons it's his fault.

'I moved to California, then my mum moved to California and she did stuff she wouldn't have done if we'd stayed in Chicago,' he explains.

'If I'd never made it in the music business, it never would have happened.’

Kanye, 31, says it's completely changed his attitude towards the music industry.

‘I’m not a celebrity, I’m a real person and people don’t realise what that’s like,’ he tells The Observer Magazine.

‘I blame fame for the losses in my life. In the future, I've got to figure out how to handle that.'
