Couple help children in developing countries

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got together three years ago and have six kids

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have handed over £50,000 to Global Action For Children.

The couple want to encourage others to think about disadvantaged kids in the run up to Christmas.

‘With the holiday season upon us, we hope the generous gift from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation inspires others to give and focus on assisting orphans and highly vulnerable children around the world,' the charity's executive director Jennifer Delaney said in a statement.

‘Each and every donation can truly make a difference in the life of a child.’

It’s not the first time the Hollywood stars have given money to the cause – two years ago they donated £500,000 to the organisation.

In September, Brad, 44, and Ange, 33, also handed over £1million to fund a children’s home in Ethiopia.

They are parents to twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, daughter Shiloh, 2, and adopted kids Maddox, 7,  Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3.
