Chris Martin: Coldplay will never split up

Singer says his comments were misconstrued

Chris Martin has rubbished reports Coldplay are to break up.

The singer was recently quoted as saying he would disband the group by 2010.

But now Chris, 31, says his comments were taken out of context.

‘You’ve got to have deadlines, you know,’ he tells Rolling Stone. ‘What that means is we’re going to pour everything we can into next year and not think beyond that.

‘We always say that and we always mean it. But every time we say it, someone writes that it’s over.

'I don’t think we’ll ever split up but we do have a lot to do before we’re 33.’
