Take That's title The Circus clashed with the singer's
Saturday, 6 December 2008
Take That considered changing the name of their new album because Britney Spears' was almost identical.
The band released The Circus on Monday, which is going head-to-head with Brit's record, Circus.
Singer Mark Owen, 36, says it was a blow when they found it.
‘It ruined it,’ he tells TV Times. ‘We considered renaming the album.
'But that wouldn’t have worked. Besides, the artwork was already finished.’
The Circus is currently on course to top the album chart tomorrow.
In midweek sales, Britney’s Circus was trailing at No 3.

Britney has beaten Take That in every chart except the UK chart. The only one that matters is the billboard chart, and britney's defo got a #1 there cos she's sold over 350,000 already, take that probably won't appear in the top 100.
I completely agree. The Billboard chart is what matters most and that is all her!
I just don't understand why it is okay for Beyonce to only dance and not sing on the American Music Awards. She couldn't sing and dance at the same time and no one has said a word derogatory about it, yet it seems to be a crime for Britney??? By the way, I also adore Beyonce so I am certainly not demeaning her performance--I loved it. We all know Beyonce rocks. I am just saying- Leave Britney alone. Give the girl some credit, she is talented. As long as her songs make me happy when I hear them and her dances makes me happy when I see them, I will continue to be a fan regardless of the fact that she is according to some unable to perform them both at the same time.
