Jade Goody: Cancer treatment left burns on my bum

TV star is struggling with side effects

Jade Goody has admitted that her course of radio and chemotherapy has left her with scars.

The 27-year-old reality TV star was diagnosed with cervical cancer in the summer and was rushed to hospital for an emergency hysterectomy.

She recently finished an intensive course of radiotherapy.

‘I had treatment every day and also a small dose of chemo every Thursday for 5 weeks,’ she says.

‘I’ve been left with burns on my bum that I have to put nappy rash cream on. It’s not attractive.’

Despite appearing upbeat about her illness, Jade admits she’s struggled to remain positive.

‘There was a moment when things got bad,’ she tells OK!. 'My body broke down and I couldn’t do anything. I sank into a depression, it was horrible.

'I had to speak to a counsellor and was put on tablets to help. But I’m feeling better now.’
